| Hello and welcome to my photo collections. I make no claim to be a great photographer (too much right hand!) but I am aware that there are many people out there who are interested in European railways but don't know where to start. The idea of these pictures is to perhaps give them some indication of what is on offer elsewhere in Europe, given the generally lamentable state of railways in this benighted island. I'm one of those awkward sods who hates organised tours and being told what to do and when to do it and so I sort it all out myself via the good old 'net' - it's all very easy. I travel extensively in Europe, particularly the ex-Communist countries, but have only recently started putting my pictures onto Fotopic. If anyone out there would like to ask me any questions about European railways or my exceedingly cheap holidays (the last one cost £138), then please get in touch - always happy to help. |

I am a 56 year old retired schoolteacher, still almost sane, who has never grown up and quite pleased about it too. I have been interested in railways for at least 49 of those years. I used to love UK railways but what's to love anymore? I do still photograph in this country, mainly in my own locality, but I do find endless parades of Yings a little depressing.
